By PC emulator, do you mean the older emulators or the more recent virtualization systems via Parallels, VMWare, and the like? If you mean the latter, I'm not sure how many would agree with the "avoid . . . at all costs" part.

When I switched to Mac, the desire to use BibleWorks (even after getting Accordance) and one or two other applications was sufficient justification to deal with the hassle and cost of installing Parallels. I certainly won't argue about the power of Accordance, but BibleWorks gives so much more for the money (I'm speaking about primary texts, major references, and modern translations).

Having said that, start-up time and the toll that Parallels takes on memory--I take these to be part of your point--are the main reasons I tend to open up Accordance first nowadays.

By the way, some of your readers may be interested in seeing the Accordance presenter's solutions to the 5 problems you summarized. David Lang posted a link to a PDF on the Accordance blog.

Thanks, Anonymous friend, for catching muy typo. It's now been corrected in the blog. BibleWorks indeed, like the others, is capable of incredible feats when it comes to searching, sorting, and performing other gyrations with the Hebrew and Greek words (in their many forms) underlying the biblical text.

Hi there! Did you you mean to say "incapable of incredible feats" or "is capable of incredible feats"? Just wondering if it was a typo.
