My sister and I were talking about this very thing on phone this morning.
ED.com had interesting piece lately how Facebook has changed the whole thing for lot of folks.
I did a blog on it working in a story from Rome Georgia, place your colleague Pierce holds in deep affection as well as that part of Georgia.
Wondering what your class outlaw is gonna think of you making his story this public?

Also made me think of Jim Dickey's line in his great poem my Dad liked a lot, The BuckHead boys and the line and I paraphrase:

My story was graduation year I was voted Most Intellectual and the Ten Year Reunion they voted me Biggest Disappointment.
But as Uncle Fremont once remarked, I had two good years in 78 and 84.

Great town, Lincolnton. Been there many, many times. I am in the same age group as you, apparently a year older. I moved back to my home town four years ago after 30+ years in one of those govt. jobs. I find that the local people do not get involved in much of anything in a town and county that is somewhat overwhelmed with transplants from FL. I don't know why the locals do not want to get involved, but complain about the "outsiders taking over."
